Frequently asked questions about geospatial data

What type of satellite data do you process for corporate surveying?

We work with high-resolution optical imagery (up to 30 cm/pixel) and airborne LIDAR data. We generate digital elevation models, georeferenced orthophotos, and classified point clouds. All processing is carried out on local servers in Argentina to comply with critical data regulations.

How does your SaaS platform integrate with a mining company's ERP systems?

The platform exposes a REST API with endpoints for geospatial layers, topographic change alerts, and report exports. Data is delivered in standard formats such as GeoJSON, Shapefile, and CSV. We have integrated with SAP, Oracle, and mining planning systems like Datamine and Surpac.

Do you offer cartography for oil block tenders in Argentina?

Yes. We prepare topographic maps at a 1:25,000 scale, elevation models, and road accessibility analysis for tender rounds. Each delivery includes a technical report, ISO 19115 metadata, and horizontal accuracy certification. We comply with the requirements of the Secretariat of Energy and provincial agencies.

What is the vertical accuracy of your 3D models for reservoir evaluation?

Under optimal conditions, we achieve a vertical accuracy of 10 cm in models generated with LIDAR and 50 cm with satellite photogrammetry. We publish root mean square error (RMSE) reports for each delivery. Accuracy depends on cloud cover and the availability of ground control points.

What support do you offer during the implementation of the satellite monitoring service?

We assign a geospatial data engineer for initial setup, alert calibration, and definition of change thresholds. We include three months of support with weekly meetings and a direct technical support channel. After the initial period, the service continues with automatic updates and monthly reports.

Operational value

Capabilities that transform terrain into data

Each feature is designed to reduce uncertainty in mining and oil projects, from exploration to bidding.

3D terrain models

Topographic reconstruction from satellite imagery and LIDAR data. Visualize slopes, basins, and access routes without mobilizing field equipment.

Surface change alerts

Periodic satellite monitoring that detects subsidence, erosion, or excavation progress. Receive automatic reports without manual intervention.

Cartography for tenders

1:25,000 scale topographic maps with elevation models and accessibility analysis. Compliant with Argentina's Energy Secretariat standards.

Volume measurement

Calculate material cubic volumes and earthworks directly on the 3D mesh. Centimeter precision without total stations.

Geological layer overlay

Integrate borehole data, faults, and formations onto the topographic model. Correlate subsurface information with the surface in a single view.

Corporate ERP integration

Geospatial reports connect with SAP and Oracle systems. Remote regulatory compliance audits in real time without duplicating processes.

Technical specifications and terms of use

Digital elevation models and topographic meshes generated by Typespatial are produced from optical and radar satellite imagery (C and L band). The nominal spatial resolution is 12.5 m/pixel for standard products and can reach 2 m/pixel for deliveries with differential processing. All geospatial data is referenced to the POSGAR 2007 geodetic framework (epoch 2006.0) and is expressed in Gauss-Krüger plane coordinates (corresponding zone) or geographic coordinates (decimal degrees, WGS84).

Automatic topographic change alerts are triggered when the altimetric difference between two satellite passes exceeds the threshold configured by the client (minimum 0.30 m). Typespatial does not guarantee the detection of changes below this threshold and is not responsible for geological interpretations derived from automated reports. Subsidence and erosion reports must be validated by a licensed professional before use in regulatory proceedings.

Corporate cartography for oil tenders is delivered in Shapefile (ESRI), GeoJSON (RFC 7946), and georeferenced PDF (Geospatial PDF) formats. Each product includes metadata in ISO 19115 format with generation date, satellite image source, effective resolution, and root mean square error (RMSE) of the adjustment. Typespatial is not responsible for the interpretation of the data by third parties nor for investment decisions based solely on the delivered cartography.

Access to the SaaS platform requires a stable internet connection and an updated browser (Chrome 90+, Firefox 88+, Edge 90+). Typespatial does not guarantee uninterrupted service availability during scheduled maintenance windows (published 72 hours in advance) nor in cases of force majeure. Client data is stored on servers located in Argentina (provider: AWS South America, sa-east-1 region) and is deleted 90 days after contract termination, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Slope and volume measurements calculated on the platform are estimates and do not replace a field topographic survey with a total station or differential GNSS. Typespatial recommends verifying in the field any value that affects engineering decisions, earthmoving budgets, or property boundaries. Use of the platform implies acceptance of these terms and conditions.
